Individual Therapy

A Supportive Space for Insight, Healing, and Growth

Individual therapy is a collaborative process designed to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit—therapy can be a space to reflect, process, and grow, even when things look fine on the outside.

At Rise Psychology, therapy is tailored to your unique concerns, goals, and lived experience. You might be seeking relief from anxiety, burnout, or relationship patterns that feel stuck. Or you may want support navigating a transition, clarifying your values, or developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

In therapy, you’ll work with Dr. Lauren Helm to explore the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are shaping your life. Together, you’ll identify patterns that no longer serve you and build tools for resilience, emotional regulation, and intentional living.

Common areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

  • Perfectionism, self-criticism, and low self-worth

  • Life transitions, identity concerns, or feeling “stuck”

  • Relationship and boundary challenges

  • Executive functioning struggles related to ADHD, anxiety, or burnout

  • Chronic illness, pain, or health-related distress

Dr. Helm uses evidence-based approaches during individual therapy that targets your needs and goals. The process is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment, Exposure Therapy, and practices drawn from mindfulness and self-compassion. Sessions may focus on building insight, developing emotional resilience, learning new skills, and making intentional changes that align with your values and priorities. Therapy can help you move forward with more clarity, confidence, and connection—to yourself and to your life.

Individual therapy at Rise Psychology is offered via secure online telehealth for adults located in Washington and Oregon, providing a flexible and confidential way to access high-quality care.
